Medina College Adapts to New Normal

In this trying times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Medina College Grade School and Medina College Science High School continue their mission to provide quality education to the youth in Ozamiz City and its immediate neighboring places. Medina College Basic Education department continues its excellent service to the learners through adaptive and flexible learning instructions in the new normal.

While learners’ health and safety is the foremost priority, quality education must not come last and least in importance. We adapt the flexible teaching-learning modalities in order to fulfill our responsibility to our community, that is, to develop competitive learners.

Learning materials are made available for delivery and/or pick-up. Self-learning modules (SLMs) are delivered to each learner’s doorstep or made available for pick-up by a parent or guardian. This means, learners don’t have to travel to the school and expose himself to the harm of the contagion.

Electronic or digital materials are made available in USB flash drives or sent through emails. This is to make delivery of instructions easier and convenient for each learner.

To prevent or alleviate the isolation sickness and maintain social connection among the learners and teachers, online sessions are encouraged. The sessions are strategically arranged throughout each week with consideration of the proper screen-time apt to the learner’s age.

Supplementary student services, like guidance and library, are made available on-call and online. Learners and parents may access the services at our website and Facebook page.

This is the new normal, but Medina College keeps its promise of quality education to its learners through adaptive and flexible learning.

Medina College is the new and bright horizon in modern education.
